Call For Papers

The creativeSME 2009 Program Committee invites submissions of papers and panel proposals that examine design, managerial, behavioral, and organizational challenges and issues of the knowledge management process, initiatives and systems specific of Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs). Topics including, but not limited to the following are welcomed:

  • Innovative frameworks for improving the learning and creative abilities of SMEs;

  • Coordination of knowledge and expertise in SMEs;

  • Impact olf organizational, economic and social issues specific of SMEs on iniciatives to improve the learning, memory and distributed cognition;

  • Discussions on new research approches to study knowledge managment in SMEs;

  • Innovative system's architecture that support distributed cognition, transactive memory, attention, identity formation, and learning in SMEs;

  • Empirical studies of succesful and unsucceful adoption of knowledge systems in SMEs;

  • Specific issues of knowledge transfer between SMEs and systems to support it;

  • Innovation models for SMEs;

  • Knowledge management best practices for SMEs;

  • Cross-cultural studies of knowledge managment iniciatives and systems comparing the trends in European Union and United States;

  • The role and impact of IT in SMEs;

  • Theories and multi-level analyses of IT-related change in SMEs;

  • Cross-cultural studies of globalization impact of SMEs.
